The Canadian teenager Ashley Wadsworth died of knife wounds to the chest stabbed. When she was travelling to the UK to meet her online boyfriend. She was originally from Vernon, British Colombia and was shifted to Chelmsford in November 2021.

Jack Sepple,23-year-old has been charged with her murder. She is the boyfriend of Ashley Wadsworth. He did not yet enter pleas and remains in the custody of the police.
On Thursday an inquest against Wadsworth’s death was open in Chelmsford. The hearing was told that the teenager was found unresponsive.
About the post-mortem report, her cause of death was ‘stab wounds to the chest. Lincoln Brookes, suspended the inquest proceedings pending the outcome of crown court proceedings.
Ms Jeff Wadsworth, who is the grandfather of Ashley Wadsworth has spoken of the family’s ‘devastation’ at her death.
He described how he ‘encouraged her to go’ to England. He believed ‘it was going to be the time of her life, adding: ‘I thought it was the safest place in the world.’
Earlier this year, she was posted photos online of her ‘amazing trip to London’, where she had been enjoying her life sightseeing.
Ms Wadsworth’s family have set up a GoFundMe page to help pay for her dead body costs and the expense of repatriating her body.
Wakefield said Ashley was also “high studious,” graduating on the honour roll at WL Seaton Secondary School. She spoke three languages and had dreamed of a good lawyer.
“Every mother and father wish the best for their children as they spread their wings and enter the world. They want them to live their best life. They said she had a “very lovely, witty, kind personality”, an “unforgettable laugh”, and was “fiercely loving and loyal to her family and friends”.
