Brian Taylor, a Pennsylvania man, shot and killed three people Saturday morning before he was killed in a shootout with state troopers.

AGE:

Brian Taylor was 54 years old.

DETAIL OF INCIDENCE:

Lycoming County officials said that Brian Taylor killed his wife, 60-year-old Linda Taylor, during a domestic altercation at their home, then fled along Route 118 toward his sister’s house nearby, shooting a passing truck on the way, WTXF reported.

Taylor fatally shot his sister, 52-year-old Andrea Meek, at the house, then fled her home on an all-terrain vehicle on Route 239. There he encountered an acquaintance, 55-year-old Jerry Zehring, who he also killed, according to police.

Police said Taylor “shot at multiple houses and moving vehicles” between his house and the fatal shootout. He hit three vehicles and damaged some homes, but no injuries were reported.

Police said the troopers involved in the shooting had been placed on administrative leave for the duration of the investigation.

PennLive.com said that Coroner Charles E. Kiessling Jr. would conduct autopsies on Brian Taylor and Zehring. Zehring, the coroner said, had just returned from deer hunting, and he wanted to be sure he was shot by Taylor and not someone in the woods.
